This position will offer the opportunity to obtain career progression and promotion at quite a swift rate as you will be playing an active part in growing a new business are on behalf of this global IPP company. My client is a private independent power producer, which develops finances, constructs and operates renewable energy power plants worldwide. They have initiated a diversification into distributed generation, beyond its core utility-scale business. This Business Unit is tasked with developing the distributed generation business for grid-connected and off-grid applications, using solar, wind, and storage technologies. As an experienced Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Australian branch with the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in connection with renewable energy projects, in a B2B context with private clients as well as in public tenders. Your core responsibilities will include, without limitation:• Lead the preparation of Expression of Interest / Pre-Qualification / Bid process / Clarifications for new opportunities and coordinate with engineering, procurement, execution, commercial, legal, and finance functions;• Draft technical and financial bids and proposals - both in terms of content and presentation;• Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids or proposals;• Support business developers globally in the preparation of world-class bids and proposals• Under the lead and with the support of the holding, maintain template proposal documents for quick proposal turnaround;• Track and manage risk throughout the bid / proposal process; • Identify and analyze the competitive landscape, and propose strategy for differentiated and winning bids/proposals;• Arrange all post bid / proposal reviews with customers, and ensure post contract award follow up;• Follow industry trends and competitor activities, including regulatory matters, commercial and financial transactions, power and fuel prices;• Gather and consolidate market intelligence and prepare rolling briefs for executives.• Participate to pre-bid meeting and site visit• Contact & Coordinate with local companies to insure that construction works are anticipated according to company and National/International standards to complete our E/P (Engineering & procurement) scope with technical and financial offer for site management, civil and electrical works Scope: Projects: On-Grid and off-grid renewable energy projects with or without storageCountries: APAC with a focus on Australia and Pacific Islands Required qualifications for the position:Experience & Skills • 1-5 years of experience in bid/proposal management for complex infrastructure projects, ideally in the field of renewable energy• Demonstrated track-record delivering competitive bids for EPC projects, Energy Service Contracts, Leasing Agreements, and/or Power Purchase Agreements• Outstanding drafting and presentation skills• Technical knowledge of solar and storage technologies would be considered a plus• Excellent command of English • Proficient in Office Software suite - working knowledge of document production automation and Microsoft project would be a plus Personal Traits & Mindset Australian (or PR) or NZ citizenship • Very well organized with a high level of rigor and attention to detail• Comfortable with complexity, working under time pressure with sometimes ambiguous, partial information • Eager to contribute to the development of company culture and to embrace core values: Team spirit, Adaptability, Pragmatism but also integrity, learning, innovation, and making a differenceShow flexibility and demonstrate high motivation to be part of a small, hard working team.
