About the role The purpose of the Manager Investigations is to manage and oversee business conduct investigations across Australia and Asia, as part of the Investigations Framework for BHP internal investigations. Responsibilities: Supports the design and implementation of BHPs Investigations Framework, including methodologies and tools Draws on developments in international best practice, regulatory guidance and learnings from investigations to drive continuous improvement in the Investigations Framework Manages Investigation Framework training including material development, training facilitation and guidance to personnel undertaking business conduct investigations (not Significant Matters) Directs the investigation of Significant Matters, including Devises investigation plans Leads investigations Undertaking or supervising forensic review of electronic communications and documents. Conducting interviews with reporters and other key personnel Preparing supporting documentation for investigations Supporting additional resources who are conducting Significant Matter investigations. Supports resources completing business conduct investigations for non Significant Matters. Prepares briefings for the Integrity Working Group on the progress of Significant Matter investigations and findings and supports the development of recommendations on the basis of findings. Supports engagement with key stakeholders. Manages external counsel within partnering law firms About you You will have a strong academic background based in Legal or Accounting disciplines, coupled with significant experience working in government, corporate and/or forensic investigations. You will have gained exposure to complex matters and sensitive internal investigations into conduct which may potentially have serious disciplinary or criminal consequences for employees. You will also possess a solid understanding of forensic technology issues, including legal and regulatory evidence preservation obligations. In additional to effective professional communication skills in English, language skills in Mandarin, Portuguese or Spanish would be helpful.
